If anyone believes Mark Cerny then, yes, we will see massive improvments. According to him it is going to take three to for years to utilize all of the special features of the PS4 GPU.
I think the biggest thing we have going for these consoles is the GPGPU is still relatively young. With PS4's 8 ACE 64 que set up and what Cerny called the volatile bit, I think we will see massive improvments for some time to come.
