Nope, I truly think the whole Star Fox franchise is mediocre at best. A game you can finish in one hour is not worth my money. I recently bought Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land, a gameboy game, and it took me around 4-5 hours to complete it. And I replayed it as well. That's €4 well spent. What's Star Fox's excuse of being only one hour long?

I don't like Super Metroid!

Shocking, isn't it? :p

I'm more of a Retro Studios fan than a Metroid fan really.

Ps: I actually like the last game Rare made for NIntendo more than the N64 Star Fox.

So much sadness in this post.  I'm really not sure you've given Super Metroid enough of a chance.  Or perhaps you have a hard time with a majority of old school platform/side scrollers.  Not sure.  But Super does so many things right.  There are also people who hate on something because everyone else loves it.  Not saying you're one of those people, but it's often wise to consider that when judging a game.

@ MZuzek...sorry for the lack of Star Fox.  Hopefully Nintendo will deliver what you've been waiting for.  With really nothing shown yet, you must feel very apprehensive about the results.

Just don't think it aged all that well. I never grew up with these games. The original Metroid is even worse, that game is barely playable to me. Just like the first two Zelda games. They aged so poorly (the Zelda games that is).

I should probably give Metroid: Zero Mission a chance though, I heard it improves a lot on the first Metroid game. And for only €4 I don't mind if it's a short game.
