Yes, we have. Like I said, draw distance and elavation plays a roll in how far you can see. You aren't seeing nearly as far in that picture as your seeing in Zelda U, and it's all dressed more diversely, which is just an aesthetic trick. It would take seconds to sail from that raft, to that boat, to that watch tower to that closest island. It being dressed with water instead of grass and trees doesn't change that.

It's not just trees and grass though; hills, mountains, buildings, water, wildlife, all of which present gameplay as well as aesthetic variation.

Seriously, show me these big  empty areas of Zelda U. The area close to link in the e3 shot has people, goats, 2 houses, a forest, a well...
