Nintendo isn't rushing out a new system because of poor Wii U sales, they don't want to end up like Sega - they know that cutting a generation off short will make them lose a lot of consumer confidence, which is something they've never lacked previously because of their good choices. The Gamecube wasn't a lot better and it still had a full lifespan, the same will happen to the Wii U. It's successor is releasing 2016 at EARLIEST (even then it sounds extremely unlikely) and Zelda Wii U is certainly coming out next year. Edit: also, no Nintendo console has ever not had an exclusive Zelda game, I'm pretty sure Nintendo isn't planning on that ever happening. |
No offense but the Sega analogy is getting tired and it's not even accurate.
Nintendo's best selling game system ever followed a system that only had 3 primary years in its life span too.
