I'm expecting a price cut in Feb/Mar too.  Problem is, there's little announced software to go along with it at this point.  God Eater in February and Sword Art Online/Senran Kagura in March, but they're hardly going to bring new buyers in.  There's smaller titles scattered in between (like have been the Vita's bread and butter so far).

I'm half expecting them to just ride it out as a profit making machine until they kill it off some time in 2016.

I think it'll last for awhile longer than 2016. If anything is killing vita its going to be ps4 to an extent. Lots of Multiplats that would of been exclusive and even some games might be PS4 only. We'll see though.

When did Sony announce a price cut for vita march 2013? I think it was jan, so if anything we'll hear something next month. Also Type 0 releasing in Feb/March. That should help vita despite ps4 (multiplat) release imo.
