Why should responsible parents look on the price of a console? Responsible Parents should look on the Age Ratings of the Video Games which are available on the console they buy for their kids.

If studIes have shown that violence in video games had no effect on kids why does the age rating matter. Doesn't make parents more responsible just less educated.

Yes so what we should do is look at who is doing the studes and who is more reliable. For instance:

 

The American Psychological Association performed a review of the subject in 2010 and found that hostility related to video games affected a certain subset of children who possess the “perfect storm” of traits: neuroticism, low levels of agreeableness (or empathy), and low levels of conscientiousness.

“Violent video games are like peanut butter,” Christopher J. Ferguson, of Texas A&M International University said of that research. “They are harmless for the vast majority of kids but are harmful to a small minority with pre-existing personality or mental health problems.”

The American Psychological Association is way more reliable in a situation like this. Not to mention the recent goverment study that was done that lead to the same conclusion. Not to mention common sense. I mean seriously do people think so little of children that simply playing violent video games is going to make them violent. It's such a silly thing to think that are brains are that easy to manipulate.
