It was a perfected Gen IV engine. as they say, You can polish a turd, but it'll still be a turd. In this case, it turned out decent, but compared to something like BW or RSE, it's bad.

I find a lot of things in HGSS are pretty great, even compared to BW myself. What specifically are you refering to when you say the engine sucks. Sort of a noob.

Ever played Diamond/Pearl? They're slow as all ass. Platinum was faster, and HGSS were even better, but the design flaws of DPP still echoed.

No, but I do know Platinum was indeed slow as ass.

I might just have a soft spot for HGSS why I give it so much slack, but I do. Stuff like the Bag in HGSS being better than in any pokemon game before or since are the reason though.
