Yeah, only place with dead legs were Japan which is odd for pokemon. Europe picked up the slack surprisingly for XY. It'll get last for all 6 new gen games, but with a 60mil-70mil user base lifetime its pretty good compared to at least Diamond/Pearl :)
As for ORAS, wasnt i telling you it wouldn't hit 11mil. Saying it would be a disapointment if it didn't get close :0
Anywayz it'll be over 7mil and hopefully close to 10mil but 9mil is the safe bet lifetime. I'll be surprised if it hits over 10mil within the next 6 months
