Brawl had close to/over 1.5mil sold (NA). So it probably had about 2mil shipped FW. So 1.2mil isnt out of possibility. For reference MK8 sold 405k FW and MKWii did 1mil FW.
That said SSBU has a release date of Nov 21st, a busier time of the year (and big games need more shipment). Though its only one retailer, went to pck up my Gcn adapter yesterday at Gamestop. They had over 35 copies sitting on the shelf (with probably 60-70 copies of ORAS) so i ask the manager (friend of mine) if that alot of copies sold while i pointed at the sitting SSBU copies. He replied they all sold out Day 1 and those were todays extra emergency shipments. He also mentioned that that was a small amount they shipped compared to the original.
