It did do something, it outsold its competition within that 6 months from release (3mil+ sold).

so...it would have outsold it anyway. The Vita was NEVER a factor against 3ds. 2ds didnt stop sales decline so not it didnt do anything.

they got 3mil+ didn't they? Thats 3mil+ more added to 3ds lifetime and probably 5mil total, maybe more as we need updated numbers from Nintendo
