Smash Bros. Wii U is its last hope of a bigger holiday season, but it doesn't seem like it'll have much of an impact. It may have a larger first week than Mario Kart, may move more systems, but most people who want Smash Bros. already have a Wii U. I expect somewhere between 350 to 450K opening, but considering how the install base is 1.9 Million right now, I don't see such a large spike in sales for release week. If not Smash Bros., then perhaps the Mario Kart bundle itself may get hold on impulse buyers, which has already been out for a while.
