Nintendo will phase down support after 2015 IMO.

Lets actually look at what they did with the GameCube:

After 2004, the only major EAD/Retro/NST projects the GameCube got were Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, a bongo platformer.

Sure the GCN got a few games from Nintendo from 2005-06, but they were all farmed out, B-tier stuff like Geist and Mario Party games from Hudson.

They clearly ditched that platform to go work on the DS/Wii. And the GameCube was selling considerably better than the Wii U is.

Yeah, GameCube only got B-tier games after 2004. Twilight Princess, for example.

Which they purposely delayed for the Wii and to add insult to injury, people who waited for the game for years had to wait until after the Wii version released to get to play it.

Not the best example. If Nintendo did the same thing with the next Zelda game and moved it to the Fusion platform, and then delayed it so Wii U owners got to play it last, somehow I doubt Wii U owners would be happy about that.

Point stands. After 2004 they decided to ditch the GameCube for the Wii/DS. They will probably do the same thing to the Wii U IMO. After 2015 don't expect a ton.
