| Toxy said: Aonuma announcing that Zelda U looks better than it did at E3 is simply amazing. I would have easily settled for the graphics we saw earlier. Personally, I did not think that the Wii U could top that. Zelda U is definitely going to live up to the series potential of pushing the console. Remember when Zelda games pushed the console to the fullest capacity? I enjoyed Skyward Sword, but I really do not think it pushed the Wii to its full potential. Whereas Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask (for N64) and Twilight Princess (for GC) pushed the consoles that they were on and were a technical marvel for their time. Skyward Sword looks nice, but it did seem like it was held back. Maybe this was because the game was essentially made twice due to the difficulties of Motion + and scrapping one of their previous engines for it only to follow through with their original plans for the game in the first place. |
Yeah, the last time a console Zelda game pushed the hardware was the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess. Skyward Sword was a great game, in my opinion anyway, but it wasn't among Wii's heavy hitter graphically. Hopefully Zelda U will return to the tradition of games like Ocarina and Majora that pushed the visual envelope.
