“We have a very broad audience base, from age 6 to 60 in terms of the content we appeal to from an age standpoint. By providing these unique and differentiated experiences, we can appeal to this diverse base”.
That's really not true at all. It's just total spin. The Wii U probably has the least diverse audience base. The other consoles will soon have more of everything except platformers and games accessible to the youngest children. There is no shame in that, of course, but everyone knows that the PS4 and XO will soon catch up with and pass the Wii U in terms of content diversity and they'll never look back.
I understand the point he wants to make, that the Wii U is the most open to all age groups, but that's meaningless if a damn good chunk of those age groups are picking something else. Because you CAN have them doesn't mean you actually DO have them.
Also, we need a drinking game based on how many times Reggie says "differentiated experience".
Is he now the most smarmy big wheel among the Console Three?
