If that isn't an ironic statement, I don't know what is. Pray tell, what is so elitist about me not being surprised that the 360 has sold more software than the Wii? The attach rate was always a reason for Nintendo fans to be heckled. And if you really think that it was hardcore or even core gamers that got the Wii to 100 million, then we're not watching the same talk shows, mornign shows, nightly news features, etc.
Nintendo tried that path again with the WiiU and found that audience was gone. That's why we had such a drought in the first year. It wasn't so much a drought as it was a bunch of games made for the wrong audience.
Not really sure why things are getting personal here...but I don't mind arguing.
