SSBM>MKDD :P

Bro SSBB still charting too, the game outsells other games despite being 7 years old :0   MK8 should be on top, MK+2D Mario are games people buy with a nintendo console, while people buy nintendo console for smash!

Lol, oh you.

Lol, I exaggerated, I'm sure SSBB still sells (Nintendo games have a gift of selling almost forever), but not as much as MKWii. When I said "nowhere to be seen" I was looking at 2014 so far, and I wasn't wrong. ;) My bad, that wasn't applicable for some of the other yearz. One metric we can use to directly measure which came out on top yearly is Amazon (although it's not with respect to the ENTIRE market, it does give us some hints on market trends).

MKWii charted higher in Amazon's top 100 charts in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 (Brawl didn't chart), 2013 (Brawl barely made it to the top 100 here) and 2014 (Brawl hasn't made it on the chart....will it make it here by the end of the year like it did in 2013!?!?). The only time Brawl outsold it was in 2012, but that was the end of the World, so yeah, of course the people needed to practice some crazy fighting skills in order to survive the end of the world. ....

By the way, they're about 6 years old and some months, not 7 yet in the US market!

C'mon, that just sounds like a sore loser :-/

SSB3DS overall isnt affecting SSBU sales lifetime, if they are its minor. Like i've been saying this whole time. The gamecould sell 8mil and people will still say 3ds version hurt it. I guess MK7 hurt MK8 sales as well

I don't think the 3DS version would affect the Wii U one as much as people are saying (legs may be affected), but let's not compare the situation with MK8. Smash Bros. 3DS came out 2014, Smash Bros. Wii U will release in a few weeks during the same year, MK7 released almost 3 years ago, MK8 released this year. People are now tired of MK7, it's been 3 years and they now want a new one, MK8! Smash 3DS came out this year, over a month ago, many aren't ready to buy a $300 console for a similar game just yet (maybe later!). I know I know, 8 player Smashing, local multiplayer fun...blah blah blah, that's something we, the "core" fans, care about, not common Tom or usual Mary.
