the shopped picture was meant to be silly by the way. the third one was not though, that is what reaching for the 2 feels like.

Maybe I just have big hands. Anyway, the only issue I have with the Wiimote Plus and Nunchuk is that the connection between the two isn't the most durable, and that my original nunchuks from 2009 tend to disconnect when I move the Wiimote too aggressively. Other than that, it's the perfect conroller in my book.
