This would put it dangerously close to the Vita-PS3 relationship. It's a lot more likely than other suggestions I've seen though.

It's already pretty much confirmed that the next handheld/home console pair will have similar operating systems. I wonder how that will affect Nintendo's output -- will there only be one Mario Kart game, shared between the two? What other games will be shared?
