The words "Taylor Swift" and "real music" should never be used in the same sentence together.

Ever.

She's just the latest in a long line of pop princesses thrust upon the ignorant masses by a music industry that more and more tries to appeal to the lowest common denominator to maximize sales and improve their bottom line.

Then who should would you use in the sentence?? Because if you can't use Taylor, then I can argue that you can't use The Beatles, Michael Jackson, or Aretha Franklin.

While the three artists you mentioned all had people in the industry who either wrote or produced some of their hits/records, they all had a sound, style and substance unique to their own, and all either broke new ground or were highly infulential in the industry.

Taylor on the other hand is the exact opposite of that.. her music is indistinguishable from all the othe pop / rock candy crap out there today.  You could swap her songs with almost any other female pop star and wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
