And only 20m people bought a Gamecube just to play Nintendo games. That should tell you all you need to know about the core Nintendo audience. It isn't very large.

20m bought the cube, but 100m bought the game boy, 120m bought the GBA and 150m bought the DS. That is not a coincidence.

Yes their handhelds were very popular. Were. 3DS has been on a downtrend for a while. It is going to be end up the lowest selling Nintendo handheld, even worse than the GBA which had a short lifespan thanks to the DS. Though I'm not sure where you got that 120m number, it only sold 81m as far as I'm aware.
