My only issue is blue shells. Fuck blue shells to hell! They're totally pointless and only serve as spoiled grapes. They don't help the 9th placed racer (you never see second or third place getting one) and with only ONE single item having the ability to block them, they're totally cheap.
Other than that, the game is fantastic.
