Like I said, it didn't improve beyond what could be expected from a more solid library coupled with a big game release like Mario Kart 8. The logic of cannibalisation is that if one product goes down, the other one goes up.

Blame Nintendo for making an HD console. They increased their development costs and times (hence the delays and lower number of games overall) for something that didn't wow anybody.

Now that the Wii U has more games, 3DS is less of a potential replacement.

Would you have made Wii U non-HD?
