No, it is absolutely a must-have game. It sounds to me like you have dismissed the game without significant play time and there are few things I have less patience for that ill-informed opinions.
The quality difference between the Galaxy games and 3D World is negligible, having said that the Galaxy games probably have their collective noses in front. To be honest though, if 'must have' means a game needs to be as good as, or exceed, the Galaxy games then you might as well give up gaming now because that's going to happen very few times in your life, if ever.
