A true Zelda is definitely coming as it has been announced officially. But I am not very optimistic for a true 3D Mario. 3D World flopped for a Mario game and did not move console at all. It put the Wii U in a very bad spot last holidays and the console is still struggling to recover from it. I hope Nintendo really understand it flopped because it was not the game true platformer fans wanted. Mario Galaxy 2 would be so hard to surpass and would need a massive work, unlike the cheap and quicly developped 3D World. It would be a killer app. Nintendo has to do it if they fund big project games like Bayonetta or X who will sell way less. |
Oh a true Zelda is definitely in the works, I just don't believe it will arrive in 2015 at all. Maybe December 2015 at best. I hold the same sentiment for Uncharted 4 actually.
I agree that Galaxy would be very difficult to surpass.. That game was the real 3D Mario we were waiting for after Super Mario 64. A true leap in every aspect. Sunshine was good but Galaxy really was spectacular. Nintendo have their work cut out for them with this one... I don't think they should bother with incorporating the gamepad screen at all really. It is clear that games have to basically be built around the screen in order to utilize it, and even then it comes off as un-necessary(except Nintendo Land). For a single player game, the second screen doesn't bring anything new to the gamer...
