We also don't know what Sony will counter with. So the gap is just as likely to close as it will close.

The thing is that the PS4 is in the same place that the X360 was last gen in the USA. Anything MS can try to do (like giving destiny away free)... sony can easily counter (i.e give destiny away from with the console).

So therefore, as the gap grows, unless MS does something big now, they wont be able to close the gap. It's last gen all over again but reversed.

The thing in Sony's favour is that already it looks like Sony will have a more productive 2015... MS is looking spread thin on it's studio stuff already.
