If they become a first/second party to Google devices they will pay less royalty fees.
They can do the same with Playstation and Xbox but that's limiting sales.
edit: I see i forgot to mention they will pay more royalty fees if they make games for xbox or playstation.

Wait, just to clarify, are you seriously saying that Nintendo would make more money from releasing their games on Android devices than from releasing them on PS and Xbox? Wut?
