Phones and tablets are getting progressively better at gaming, reducing the perceived need for a dedicated device to serve this purpose. Dedicated anything is becoming an obsolete concept sadly, everything is moving towards multipurpose media devices. It will be very hard to convince a consumer in 2017 who's not a hardcore Nntendo fan to buy a device that only plays portable games.
