I will play a few games on H2 and H4, but not much in comparison to Halo 3.

I'm pretty sure you can already do that today. And the visuals in the remake (aside from some lighting, resolution and fps differences) will look exactly the same.

Nah, matchmaking is for shit. Anniversary collection will boose numbers, make the game playable / sociable for the first time in years. It happened a bit when it went free last year, but it didn't last long, 2 weeks tops.
