Oh, and as a reminder, these were the original parameters:
"Can you name a big budget 3rd party title that released on a Nintendo system, was released at the same time as other systems with all of the same features, was advertised equally with the other versions, and still struggled (semi-relative to install base)?"
Therefore, Bayonetta is invalid. It is launching on the Wii U four years after the PS360 versions. If you meant Bayonetta 2, that is also invalid. There are no other versions to compare it to.
