Well, it would take only eight people to hang on in order to run such a thing. Hanging on should be worth it to maybe enter the playoffs for the top 16 and participate in a contest for another prediction league title. That was the whole idea of my playoffs to begin with, to reduce the number of people who drop out once they have no realistic chances to win the regular season anymore. The same line of thought holds true for these bottom half playoffs; it means that people will have a postseason as long as they keep playing.

24+ people making it to the very end of the regular season shouldn't be too much to ask for. The theoretical chances to snatch #16 should be intact for #17-24 until the very last week.

True dat. Make sure to include it in the first post and remind peeps throughout the second half so they know they still have something to fight for.
