@Bold Again with the circular logic ... If 3DS ain't the reason why Smash is going to sell less on the WII U then what is ?

@Underlined Yes, they are easy to rip apart and that wouldn't have happened if you didn't make countless assumptions ...

You mean 3DS for everyone else cause as far as I know your the only championing this case. FYI online multiplayer is by far more common than local multiplayer and it's the superior experience cause you can play almost anywhere plus using split screen is annoying.

Just where exactly the massive amount of reports where there are slowdowns and lag issues for the 3DS version ?

Have you even bothered to look at the console spread (It's right on the front page)? At least according to VGChartz, 44 million to 7 million..... This is the only factor that means it will sell less on Wii U. I'm honestly expecting Wii U smash numbers to be somewhere in the range of 3 million-ish including digital (like Mario Kart 8). Those of us who pre-ordered on both consoles know what we want from both versions. The Wii U version is the one I will play mostly only with friends and what I will compete in tourney's with. The 3DS version I use mainly for playing with friends at my college when on break.

@Bold, Online multiplayer is not the superior experience when it doesn't work well to begin with. In Smash local is usually the best way to play multiplayer. You sound like never played Goldeneye, the superior multiplayer FPS experience of it's era on consoles, which is split screen. I love those people who act like online is some godsend thing, we have had it for years. it just shows how anti-social the world has become when it comes to games that originally were meant to bring friends together now split them apart via rj-45.

@underline, You obviously don't read a lot of comments on here, or anywhere for that fact about the game. It has widespread multiplayer issues. drops, consistant lag, frame drops to about 2 or 3 fps. You can go a solid 5 or 6 matches online no problem until someone has problems with their internet, then you suffer. Some of this stuff can be fixed via patch, but acting like Smash 3Ds is the only experience you need is laughable at best.

I can't wait for the Wii U version personally
