NIntendo just needs 1 really good (hardware wise) console. It doesn't matter what is in it, People will buy it for all their games, pretty much leaving Sony and MS in the dust. |
Somehow I doubt the average Calladooty/Destiny/NBA 2K/Madden/FIFA/Halo/Uncharted loving fan is going to ditch them just to play more Mario.
They're pretty seperate audiences at this point.
What Fusion might do is it might get more of these people to buy in to a Nintendo Fusion platform as a secondary type platform (provided its cheap) or make it their handheld of choice.

You didn't read the post at all did you? Like I said people would buy it for all their games and I will bold out a line that you should read. I understand in the past this has happened, having gamed for 21 years. But Nintendo's next leap on the hardware front will likely be big in contrast to the Wii U... I'm under a wait and see phase though

Nintendo's never making that console. I think they purposely go out of their way to make a console that isn't standardized in the way Sony/MS do. They just can't bring themselves to make that system and if they do they have to add some weird quirks to it, like making it a purple lunchbox.
I heard this analogy once and I think it's true ... Nintendo is not at all like the happy-go-lucky personality of Super Mario ... they are much like Donkey Kong, a stubborn ape of a company.
