just pop it out with >B then move the joystick around in the direction you want it to go ....its also a pretty good defenseive move cause you can deflect some projectiles and swing the chain backwards, over your head, forward, ect |

I tried hitting Riot with it, it just did some damage but he got through and smashed me.
There is that occasional electric shock though. |
hit them with the tip of the chain they'll get shocked and fly pretty far like a marth slash ^_^

The whip attack might make for an excellent edge guard.
