There's an easy way around this though so you don't have people bitching about day 1 DLC, just wait a week. Seriously develop it prior to the games release it can even be done before the game releases, nobody will bitch though if it releases a week after the games release. Same with on disc dlc, just remove it from the disc and nobody will know better.
