I will give SE or rather Tabata some credit though. He's being far more upfront and not BSing us trying to hide facts and nor is he sugarcoating anything. If anything he might have been undercoating it throwing around the word casual.
Don't really know who said there would be character switching in FFXV's past articles..although I'm thinking it was Nomura. If it was because it got taken out later in development, it's better they tell us now rather than us finding it out ourselves playing the demo/game.
