@ Quinton, et al.

Can we please stop this pedantic line of inquiry and get back to the topic at hand?

I believe I was stating that it's unfair for people to count multiplats against a console that is not getting those same multiplats. Its like comparing PC games sales to the consoles. The PC will obviously have more multiplat games that have not and probably never will grace the PS4, but counting them anyway. The best way, I believe, would be to compare total sales of exclusive titles for each system.

This is similar to when people celebrated the PS4 outselling the 3DS for one single month. I just don't see the significance in celebrating something so miniscule.

While I understand where you are coming from. Comparing two gaming consoles and their total sales makes more sense in my eyes though. Nit picking the games is what is kind of odd. There are 3rd party games on the Wii U that will never come to PS4/XB1 and those are counted but no one is complaining about that side. Comparing the total sales of both is the only real logical and fair way. It gives everything both have and leaves nothing out so it is an even playing field. Both have exclusive and multiplat games that will never appear on the other so it evens out. Just because one system gets more 3rd party support thant he other that doesn't mean we have to "handicap" one system so the ther will have a better shot.

When you take everything both systems have then it is fair to me. Besides this thread is about TOTAL software sales anyway if you felt it better to compare exclusive software sales then by all means I say make a thread about it. But no point in derailing a thread with something you prefer that is just kind of silly if you ask me. But again your side of the story is well understood.
