It's not my thing, but it is a better ad than what NOA usually farts out.
They could basically do the exact same commercial for the West with Katy Perry instead (not a fan of hers either, but couldn't help but think she'd fit this to a tee ... probably would cost a ton to get though).
It's interesting in Japan, Nintendo's commercials very rarely use children in them either, they still treat the West like they're in the toy market, but they treat Japan like gaming is a mainstream/adult hobby akin to movies/pop music.
