Project Zero 2 Wii Edition is an alternative if you live in PAL region or JP. If you're in NTSC, region unlocking the Wii's fairly simple.

Yeah, I want to get FF4 and the english patch, but FF4 is still so expensive and now the patch site is down...I'm still tempted to import it though. Which do you think is better, 2 or 4?
