I think Fusion will help, but even that I'm not sure is a silver bullet. Fusion will help with more Mario/Zelda/Kirby/DK/Pokemon games being released on a more timely basis yes, but I still think the ugly spectre of iOS/Android looms over Nintendo's head and is taking away 3DS customers from them every day and has completely decimated their Wii audience.

It's like a cancer, Fusion may be like the chemotherapy. Maybe it works ... maybe it doesn't but it is probably their best shot at this point. We'll have to see.

I think part of Nintendo's problem is they are very, very tied to the concept of $39.99 handheld games and $49.99-$59.99 home console games, even though this setup really only benefits Sony/MS today IMO. If they were to look into more non-traditional business models perhaps they could have more success, but I think it's too big of a leap for them to take.
