Besides alienating the 2 million+ fanbase. This would very dumb.

The size limit would cause a huge downgrade on quality. Ninja Gaiden looks fantastic but its like 5 hours long.

MH games are all over 100 hours of content. You just fit that on the DS with changing the formula.
