I don't think it's really much of a doubt. I think Smash will be cripppled on the Wii U too by a lot of people having bought the 3DS version a month earlier too.
Bad move on Nintendo's part these two games should've been spaced out much moreso. NSMB2/NSMBU was bad enough and I think both of those games sold less than what they would have otherwise had they been seperated by 1-2 years.
I think MS will have some extremely aggressive XBone promotions this holiday. Probably free Master Chief Collection, maybe free Minecraft on top of that for holiday buyers and a $349.99 price cut for Black Friday.
