This has been done before....and it was a failure then as well. You see....hitting resfresh on your profile gives you a hit. That's when the first wave of profile refreshing hit. Pretty lame if you ask me, that people actually want to appear popular on the site. Some of the posters I admire the most have a very low post count and even lower profile view.
