Does Microsoft owning Minecraft actually do anything???

Microsoft is overvaluing Minecraft. Even with its success, it's hard to bring another 2 billion back in their pockets, let alone make a good amount of profit. But I don't really doubt they don't have a good reason to buy Minecraft.
