Whether they did the best they could remains to be seen though. They didn't with Blacklist or AC4.

I don't have unreasonable expectations, I'm not talking about a ground-up Wii U engine or exclusive gameplay content or anything, all I ask for is a decent framerate.

What is the problem with Blacklist?, I play it and had a lot of fun with it, good controls, good gamepad integration, nice plot even if it was kind on simplistic, a lot of variety, even the online worked fine for me, only had 2 crashes during all my play time, and that is it, sure is not a perfect game and the couch co-op was missing, but taking into account the amount of time they had to make that port, I will argue that is a very good one.

In my experience people usually does their best effort within the project limitations. How much time and manpower did they had to port those games you mentioned? I don't know exactly but I do know it was short and low, yet in both cases the games can be enjoyed and you can have a lot of fun, and both are great additions to your collection if your console of choice is a Wii U.

Only the framereate is your concern in Watch_dogs? what is a "decent" framerate for you? because all the versions have drops and are not locked...

To be fair, I have no idea what kind of manpower, timeframe, or budget they had to work with, but AC4 and Blacklist both suffered some very nasty framerates drops on Wii U, significantly lower than on PS3/360.

As for Watch Dogs, I could accept a framerate that doesn't drop below 20fps and runs at or close to 30fps for the majority of play. Drops to 24fps during intense action are forgiveable, given the game's demanding nature. Basically, it should match or exceed the PS3 performance captured here, though with less/no screen tearing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUaygMISL50
