Because of Pikmin 3, Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade Chronicles X. Nintendo has a terrible habit of delays this gen.

None of them were/are very important holiday titles though.. Delaying Smash Bros WiiU would be MUCH worse than delaying any of those games.. :S

It wouldn't be the first time Nintendo's done something completely stupid though...
