Now is not a very good time to use that argument, since Microsoft has made money in their Entertainment division for two straight quarters.
Granted, they're still in the red in terms of total figures, but Microsoft didn't enter the console business while thinking they'd make easy money (only someone dumb would think that, since there are a lot of buried bodies in the cemetery of failed consoles).
Nope, now more than ever is when Microsoft should stay in the business - they're making money and they're fending off Sony's attempts to dominate the media center business and customers' living rooms.
