Not if you own a PC, in which case all consoles are weakly valued except for their exclusives. If people only cared about throughput, they'd just be buying PCs which are already getting cheaper to just build than the PS4 with better specs.

Gaming machines are bought for their exclusives and the environment provided by them, you're always "forced" to buy inferior hardware one way or the other.
