A lot of the money on that list comes from software and handhelds, had the wii not been a success they might of been better off just making software and handhelds instead, the profits dont show that side of the story, what analysts never expected was for nintendo to do a turnaround in the console business.
Its a safe bet to say nintendo will be around for a long time, however that doesnt necesarily mean they will be in the console business for a long time, all depends on how well they can continue to be succesful.
