| Mr.Playstation said: The wii had a huge marketshare but do you see cross-gen games coming out of it. No, developers stood up with it in 2010,2011 releasing yearly cod's even though the system was outdated by that time, because that is what they had. Ounce the wii u was released no cross-gen games came out for it. Therefore the 360 and ps3 were far from being long overdue. The ps2 was the only prev gen console having games still getiing released on it since it was not overdue and could do alot more, the other two consoles were though. |
The PS2 was the weakest console of its generation, the reason it was supported so well and with crossgen was because of its attach rate, the same goes as to reasons Wii didn't get cross gen games. Furthermore, every single multiplat the Wii U got up until the release of Next Gen, was cross gen, considering the Wii U was 8th Gen and PS360 was 7th gen.
Furthermore, when you go to brass tacks you've got a 150 mill PS2, 20 mill GC, 25 mil Xbox its should be obvious that only the PS2 is going to get the cross gen.
versus last gen
100 mill Wii, 80 mil PS3, 80 mil 360, With attach rates best on 360, then PS3, then Wii cross gen is a no brainer.
