As for a new hardware model every 4 years, with double the ram/vram of the 3ds (rumour I know) well that's 4 years with 1 system and then a very distinguished upgrade, by comparison a 400+euro iPhone becoming out of date after a matter of months would be a bigger worry cash wise than a 150euros system being replaced after 4 years.

You're forgetting this is Nintendo, though. They're allowed to do anything they want because they are fucking nintendo.

Fixed, it fits better to the reality on the forum. It would have been microsoft or sony, everyone would agree to say its disgusting for early buyers they want to do that

Um, what early buyers? 3DS has been out for 3.5 years. Didn't Vita get a revision already as well, and that Vita TV thing on top of that? 

Vita never got a revision with games that wont work on the previous versions.
